After a well needed (but not all fun) break, I am back to work! I took most of December off to spend time with my family, enjoy Christmas and also to have ankle surgery. Now that I am almost able to walk again it's time to get going again!
Up first, the P family. This session was to get pictures taken for their Christmas cards. It was great to be able to get them done while their oldest was in town for college break. They are a great family and a lot of fun!

I have been so excited to do this post! This location was absolutely beautiful! I had never made a trip to Clear Lake, Iowa before. It was gorgeous! A vacation destination for many, the population nearly triples in the summer! And in the middle of the town is the beautiful Central Gardens, the location for T and C's nuptials. These two are perfect together and are incredibly photogenic!
It was a quick trip, but so fun!

P and J had their wedding at the gorgeous Evergreen Lake House. It was a perfect day, P and J so excited and in love, the wedding party so happy and ready for a good time, an emotional daddy escorting his daughter down the aisle, the weather was sunny, and the location was awesome! I loved sharing in P and J's first look, and how they involved their wedding colors even down to the wrap covering his eyes for the reveal!
One other favorite part was the garter retrieval! What an awesome way to celebrate that the groom is a fireman than to have all of the guys come out in full fire gear to help him get that garter, tools and all!

What an adorable little peanut this little man is! Baby K decided to join the world 3.5 weeks early! He likes to make things dramatic, since his mommy and daddy also had to close on their new home the same day. What timing! This precious blessing arrived at 12:56 pm, weighing in at 5 pound 5 ounces and 18.5 inches long. He made lots of noise during his first bath and is so adorable! Mommy and Daddy are so excited and are going to be fantastic parents. And Grandma was able to enjoy her first meeting with her new grandson! I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to capture the beauty of his birth, now to get ready for a fun newborn session with him!

B has been fighting against leukemia for a bit now, undergoing many treatments. She is on the recovery road which is amazing! To mark the occasion, and to capture this moment in time since she will never look like this again, her hubby bought her a fun session to show off how good she looks bald! We went from no makeup, all the way to full glam. And have you seen the "girl with the pearl earring" painting? We even tried re-creating that a little bit! I think she looks amazing. What a strong woman, and I can't wait to do the same with other cancer fighters!!

Gorgeous S had her little darling recently and I was able to go and photograph the entire family! What fun to have captured the beauty of her maternity and now baby C. She is so cute! One of my favorite things is that her and her big sister have VERY different hair colors which look great in the pictures. Now they just need a little blondie to round out their look :)

These two gorgeous babies are quite the little fighters! They were diagnosed with TTTS while in utero and had a big battle ahead of them. They were delivered and both had to spend time in the NICU before coming home. Since then they have had to take a few trips back, but thankfully, have really begun to grow and flourish! The adorable Dr. Seuss outfits had special meaning, as they bought them in the hospital gift shop and didn't know if they would be bringing home, two, one or no babies. So we had to be sure to take some pictures in them! What an honor to capture the beauty of these two little angels!

The F family found me on the website for my church. They were a fantastic group to work with and all three boys are adorable! But it was pretty cool when we started talking about our church and I found out that they volunteer in the children's church area and watch my youngest during service!

I loved how this family coordinated their colors for our session! And little did they know how well they would look with the location we chose. Big sis was so adorable when holding her baby bro, she was so good at making him feel comfortable. I was really glad too, it helped keep him smiling through the cold and wind!

The M family and I headed to the beautiful Botanic Gardens at Chatfield for their session. Mr. A turned five on our session day. He was so cute and fun! And he is an incredible big brother! He has twin siblings, eight months old. C and C had a wonderful intimate wedding at a cabin at Grand Lake. The rain and chilly weather must have received an invitation because it stayed the whole time!
